Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Sadiya have ensured that the fervour of patriotism lives on, and shifted its 74th Independence Day celebration online. In the wake of corona virus pandemic School celebrated Independence Day on Saturday in a subdued manner by following safety guidelines. The School Staff and children of staff attended the celebration. The students and parents joined the celebration online via video conferencing. The celebration started with Flag hoisting followed by National Anthem. Sri. Kishore Chandra Moharana, Principal of VKV Sadiya address the students and parents. In his address, he paid tributes to the corona warriors who are at the forefront in the battle against pandemic COVID19. He also praised the tireless effort of the teachers, who have adapted the changes to keep education alive among the students. He paid tribute to the brave freedom fighters and added that the countrymen are able to live and breathe freely is because of the sacrifice of the Freedom Fighters. In his speech, Principal Sri. Kishore C. Moharana, highlighted to the students the importance of self-reliant.
One of the students presented a medley of patriotic song followed by group song by Teachers of Vidyalaya. Vice Principal Sri. Monoj Sarma delivered speech on this occassion. He said that we feel the absence of children clap and cheer throughout the event. He applauded all the students and parents who joined live for the celebration. He also announced the winners of Art Competition which was organised on 14th August, 2020 to mark the 74th Independence week. The winners were: Group A: 1st) Shrishti Yadav (UKG); (2nd) Drupad Gogoi (LKG) ; and (3rd) himadri Gogoi (UKG). Group B: 1st) Tukharjit Saikia ( III); Piyush Aich (II); Diksha Chetry (I). Group C: 1st) Soniya Begum (VI); (2nd) Mashikur Ali (VI); (3rd) Lehika Buragohain. Group D: 1st) Maisha Alam; (2nd) Amrita Kanu (VII); (3rd) Pallabi Kutum(VII). Group E (Parents of): 1st) Mashikur Ali; (2nd) Nisha Shah; (3rd) Sita Upadhaya.
At the end of the day Team of Sarada Manch has organised another online session in conclusion of Sarada Manch Gyan Pratiyogita. As many as 160 finalist from various schools joined the session along with their parents and teachers. The session started with Mangalacharaya followed by welcome speech by coordinator Sri. Manoj Shah, a Mathematics teacher of Vidyalaya. The team of Sarada manch were introduced to all the participants. Vice Principal Sri. Monoj Sarma sang a patriotic song which gave goosebumps to all the attendees of the session. Principal Sri. Kishore Chandra Moharana declared the result and notified all the participants about the upcoming events and activities by Sarada Manch. School, Digboi. JUNIOR CATEGORY: 1st) Prabal Deka of VKV, Nalbari (2nd) Angarika Sharma of VKV Sivasagar (3rd) Arnab Dutta of VKV, Sivasagar & Tejash Kashyap of Vartak Model School, Tezpur. All the winners will receive cash amount which will be deposited to their bank account.
